There's no patch there -- I think we're internally using an
Alessandro-authored workaround patch that probably isn't broadly
safe.
I do know that without our workaround patch the EA Origins
(psuedo-steam) client locks up under Wine, so it's doing something
right.
If you could call attention to the bug to whoever is appropriate it
would be much appreciated. I think Alessandro could even be
inspired to provide a proper fix and post his patch if you gave him
the confidence that it would be welcome :)
