Default ordering of OracleDetection after OpenStack will potentially mean a false positive in DataSourceOpenStack.detect_openstack in some cases. We might need to figure a way to prevent OpenStackDataSource from detecting OracleCloud.com now that we have a different datasource. As you mentioned in IRC, we also don't want to deal with transitioning pets from OpenStack ds -> Oracle ds, so I'm not quite sure what we should do here.

duplication of this static var in both DataSourceOpenStack and DataSourceOracle is a smell representing the ds detection collision we now have. Not sure whether it makes sense though to pull this up into sources/__init__.py and import it in both datasources.

Is it probably worth persisting 'system_uuid' in instance-data.json since it is once component of the metadata that the datasource looks at to determine behavior. We could do this with a hasattr check in sources/__init___.py:get_data line 192... But now that we are adding to these checks, it feels like we might need to have a simple helper function or something iterate list of known instance_data_attrs to persist to avoid all the duplicate code like the following:

It feels unmanageable to keep adding special cases in the parent class, but also bloats all subclasses by making them define yet another method or class attr to note which attributes need to be persisted to instance-data.json. thoughts?
