Ubuntu cloud-init bug # 1315501

Hi Ubuntu cloud-init team,

I am seeing the cloud-init bug # 1315501<https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-init/+bug/1315501>, and cannot access the Ubuntu 14.04 VM.

eth0 of the Ubuntu VM does not get its IP address when the VM boots, and I cannot ping and SSH into the VM.

I see that dnsmasq (DHCP server that assigns the IP address to eth0 of the VM) is up and perfect.

Is there a work-around/fix/patch for this bug ?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
