Is it really still sensible to enable "unredirect fullscreen windows"
when it causes so many graphics issues. I am no expert but I don't think
that it necessarily improves performance by any noticeable amount -
fedora does not enable it by default and this does not cause any major
problems.

I think as well as aiming for flicker free boot we should try and make
sure that the whole desktop is flicker free.
