[Bug 409140] Re: "Login/Logout" does not seem to be doing anything for me. Also, could it be combined with "Splash" to make a (although non Compiz) nice looking login option?

Why does this only effect the Kubuntu install?  Why not just make it a
graphical change to the login screen?
