[Bug 379133] [NEW] ubuntu crashed after installing Compiz

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: compiz-fusion-bcop

I installed this package hoping to use the CUBE desktop aspect of the
programme.

Unfortunately Ubuntu became unstable and I eventually got rid of the
problem by deleting Compiz - I had lost the top panel of all windows too
and could only correct this when I accessed SYSTEM - PREFERENCES -
APPEARANCE - VISUAL EFFECTS and selected Extra, as I said following
deleting Compiz

The release of Ubuntu on my system is the most recent (Originally I
installed 8.10 but I believe the latest which I downloaded was 9.04)

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
Package: firefox-3.0 3.0.10+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.9.04.1
ProcEnviron:
 LANG=en_AU.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: firefox-3.0
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Incomplete
