This is still a problem in Intrepid (which I still use), in that the
application switcher border still generally leaves a column of windows
outside the border. (That is, if you have 3 windows open, the border
encircles the leftmost 2. If you have 5 open, it leaves parts of the two
windows on the right side out.)

I don't know if bugfixes are still being backported to Intrepid. If so
this may still be worth looking into.
