@Kendrick: a possibly-related issue is when you use the "Put window"
plugin with the "Window centre" option on. If you try to put the centre
of the window in the centre of the screen it gets put slightly above it;
this is especially noticeable for tall windows, or if you have another
window not affected by the window decorator (like chromium-browser) to
compare with. It seems to me that the common cause of these problems is
that compiz is considering window decorations in some of its
measurements but not in others. It should be possible to work around the
skype issue by adding an entry to the "Windows with fixed position" list
in the "Place windows" plugin with "class=Skype.real" ,"0", "48" and
unticked as the parameters (just tried it).
