What the hell?  Who on earth thought it was a good idea to force
animations down the users throat, especially when:

a) Animations are slow on certain systems
b) Some people don't like annoying fading/flying/gyrating windows
c) Some people like getting work down without having to wait for useless eye candy

Stupid stupid stupid.
