[Bug 487519] Re: “window previews” plugin leaves garbage on screen

OK, I managed to combine some more screen-shots to show the second
effect. I've done it with a terminal window, because those are
transparent with my settings, and the effect is more visible. Since this
is a transient effect I just held the mouse over the task-bar and took
several screenshots in a row, and picked two that contrast well.

The effect seems consistent with a left-to-right over-drawing, as the
screenshots always show vertical slices of the thumbnail differing in
how they're displayed, but that may be an artifact of the way
screenshots are taken.

The right half of the attached image displays the mostly-translucent
thumbnail. You can see that the leftmost 15% of that already shows the
over-draw effect; but the rest correctly shows things through the
window. The left half of the image shows the “final” stage of the
effect, with everything opaque, including the shadow.

(Actually, it seems the re-draw effect happens separately for the shadow
and for the window; you can see in the left-side image that even though
the terminal thumbnail is partly transparent, the shadow on its right
has a nearly opaque segment. It should be as subtle as the shadow cast
from the thumbnail onto the title box below it. Also, in some conditions
this is obvious to the eye, as the shadow and windows flicker
independently on bright backgrounds. This is hard to capture in
screenshots, it seems that the screenshots trigger a re-draw that often
hides the effect.)
