The fix mentioned upstream
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23718) in comment #37 is
included in the mesa version in the x-updates PPA
(https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates/+packages?field.name_filter=&field.status_filter=published&field.series_filter=karmic).
However, as noted upstream, rendering will slow down to a slideshow in
mesa 7.6. The current plan is to ship mesa 7.7 in Lucid and it should
work better there.
