Pretty sure this is going to be nvidia related....

Does this happen if you run `metacity --replace &` then run `compiz &`
once that is loaded? If it's the nvidia issue I'm thinking of it'll seem
like metacity crashed because it's actually compiz crashing inside the
nvidia driver on exit.

when I try to run compiz in a terminal after a few second I read "abort:core dumped".
