Can't reproduce bug. I'm running a german Lucid, too. Differences to reporter-system:
NonfreeKernelModules: ATI

I also haven't installed the german language pack like the Reporter
after installing Lucid, but chosen the german "Sprachunterstützung" ;-)
while installing process.

Set from New to Incomplete and will ask the reporter to test with a new
user created in his system on advice from pedro_. Thx for that.
