u-foka: Yes, the patch in 0.8.6-0ubuntu8 was wrong.  Read my comments #9
and #10 above.  A workaround is to edit /usr/share/gconf/defaults
/10_compiz-gnome to change ‘1’ to ‘1.0’, then run ‘sudo update-gconf-
defaults’.
