Just to note - 
after login it works once per full rotation thru all available workspaces 
This also affects the wall plugin, again works only once thru the sliding thru of the workspaces

(have set the # of vertical workspaces back to the previous default of
1, 4 in total, latest updates had set it at 2 for some reason ( 8 in
total
