Only had the OS installed for 24 hours and this issue is driving me
bats!  Message #29 suggests I won't get ahead any better by changing
drivers, so I'll just hang fire and hope for a fix.

I have been in a habit of running most windows maximised and "tab +
alt"ing through them while I am working.  That will have to change for
the interim: even using different workspaces makes no difference.

I have also attached a bug report log.
