Message #16299
[Bug 774986] [NEW] compiz "smart placement" creates windows overlapping two desktops
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Binary package hint: unity
Just upgraded to Natty and I realized that with the default setting
"smart window placement" in compiz, I often get windows which overlap
two desktops. This is a problem for the launcher as well, see bug
738908. I get these overlapping windows not by placing them there but
they are placed like this by compiz (e.g. totem is often placed that
way). I noticed that this is a problem with the "smart" window placement
in compiz. "Cascade" seems a better setting, but "smart" is the default
in natty.
