I have Acer Extensa 5630Z with Intel integrated graphics chipset.
I am getting the same problem as described in the first post.

Bear in mind I didn't have time to check the replies yet, so I will get
back to you when I try solutions posted there.

The porlbem is that compiz hangs randomly, sometimes after I go to
another workspace with Desktop Wall enabled, sometimes with invoking
Expo plugin's view of all workspaces, etc. There is no specific trigger
for the hang.
