Same here! And it is an Ubuntu Natty 64 system, too... Fact is that we
are using a development (unstable) version of Compiz:
http://wiki.compiz.org/. I guess that Unity is not compatible with
Compiz 0.8.8 -- the latest stable release. This is just one of the many
Compiz-related bugs I have experienced in Natty... :-/
