EXACTLY same problem here. When using Unity or Ubuntu Classic (with
Compiz effects) window management becomes very jerky and unusable. I
tried to play with VSYNC options, even tested all available Nvidia
drivers and no luck. AMD Phenom II 965, GTX560Ti.
