[Bug 727143] Re: unity-window-decorator crashes with SIGSEGV when closing Java windows

 

I agree, this is one notch below "blocker," since it segfaults unity and
renders the system unusable for practical purposes. The only reason it's
not a complete "blocker" is that you can potentially 'compiz --replace'
every time a message box pops up and crashes the window decorator.
Which, for people who use Java, is every couple of minutes, randomly,
depending on the application.

The issue affects users of commercial Java software, which is fairly
common for production Desktop Linux environments in business (i.e. Java
programs are cross-platform and used often in industry).

It's not just Java developers who will run into this: it's anyone using
commercial, cross-platform Java applications.
