..actually I suspect there are two different issues here, as:
- some report it as an immediate problem present from boot-up and others as problem that gradually appears after a while
- some report only lagging when moving windows about, others also find lagging with the keyboard
- some have reported actual crashes of compiz/X others have not
- some have found replacing the mouse with a non-logitech fixes it, other have not
- ditto for the mouse polling variable
- and then theres the glxgears question ... does it work for the rest of you
