Yes, sorry about the messing around yesterday. I thought GLX_SGI_swap_control might provide a better solution, but actually had no effect since compiz seems to avoid calling glXSwapBuffers much of the time.

So now we're back to plain old waiting. At least that's guaranteed to work with glXCopySubBufferMESA which compiz seems to like using.
