I found an interesting behavior with my Nova X600 laser mouse.
It has some buttons on it to switch between modes with different frequencies.

Whenever I press it, window moving becomes smooth for a few second (approx 30s). Then, it becomes extremely laggy again.
I can reproduce it all the time. Note that it doesn't matter if I change the frequency up or down. The only fact of changing seems sufficient to "reset" this lag problem.

Otherwise, like almost everyone here, every thing else is smooth, and
the compiz settings have no effect.
