Hi Jay,

Maybe somehow the changes didn't make it in time? all the reports for
this and related bugs were generated with Oneiric Alpha 3.

Anyway, I just retested this with the Oneiric image from 20110823. Tests
were done with Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics
Controller (rev 12) graphics on a Toshiba Tecra A11.

Behavior is now improved and I can't reproduce the original problem.
works mostly OK, I get a compiz crash but it respawns and dual monitors
work fine.

Please let me know if I need to test something more specific.
