Other glitches that commonly happen:

- you can't send input to a window until you first re-display it via the
launcher AND click on its titlebar

- a maximized window gets redrawn with an empty space at the top where
the titlebar would normally go. Mouse clicks either don't work at this
point or are offset, ie as if the screen geometry didn't have the empty
space.
