This bug seems similar to issues with compiz not using plugin values at
login. When the launcher fails to show I use compizconfig to toggle
Dodge Windows and the launcher starts working again. Same issue for
compiz edge bindings. Hot corners for expose or workspace switcher are
disabled at login. I have to pull up compizconfig and disable/enable
commands and then refresh unity with unity --replace. There is already a
bug filed for compiz edge bindings in oneiric.
