Same problem here, and I'm trying to convince my GF that Ubuntu is teh
shit. So far things have mostly been shit though and she's not
impressed.

Nicolas is right though. The coloured overlay isn't necessary and a box
or border only would be enough and not cause any problems even if the
bug is "still there"..
