[Bug 761280] [NEW] Software pop up windows should be closer to the top of the screen

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: unity

At the present time, a screen size 10.1" is definitely too small for
Natty!

For netbook users, window management in Unity/Natty has been, if not a
big problem, at least very annoying. Many windows such as "preferences"
windows and , etc., of default softwares like nautilus, evolution and
others, open between two workspaces (normally the buttons OK and Cancell
are on a different workspace and you have to drag the window to be able
to press the buttons - See screenshot attached for a better
comprehension). In the CCSM window options, but as I have chosen to open
the windows maximised, as it's better for netbooks in my opinion,
however the small pop up windows can't be maximised. Also, even when
maximised some windows are slightly bigger than the screen, making it
tricky to press some buttons as the window moves (the best example of
this is Compiz CSM, which also stays half centimetre under the panel).

Even if there are some tweaks that might solve it, the average user who
is just migrating from windows cannot be expected to do it easily, and
it certainly will affect their "Ubuntu experience" in a bad way.
