[Bug 850863] [NEW] Update Manager seems to block out thunderbird's empty spam box

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Ubuntu 10.10 amd64bit with both Thunderbird versions 3xx on one machine
and 6xx on another machine with all updates installed. For a few days
now if the update manager label is showing on the screen's bottom menu
bar and if Thunderbird is running, right clicking on "Spam" immediately
after checking to make sure the msgs are in fact spam, brings up the
options box as usual. However when the cursor is then moved into the
box, to select empty junk, the entire box immediately disappears, before
a selection can be made. In both cases, where this has happened, once
I've downloaded and installed the available ubuntu updates, normal
Thunderbird operations resume.

** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
