I can confirm this bug on 11.10 with unity, firefox 8. It occurs rather
frequently, playing around with window focus temporarily fixes the
problem until it reappears some time later. I don't need to suspend or
turn on the screen saver to have this bug occur.

I suffered from this bug on Maverick, however, it disappeared for a
couple of days after I updated to Oneiric. Now it's there again, not
sure what triggered it. I can also confirm that it often starts with the
URL drop down box flickering for a fraction of a second before vanishing
altogether. Auto-complete within the browser is also affected. I wonder
if I caused this bug by changing some settings in CSSM since nobody has
reported anything here for Oneiric.
