I'm also affected.
Slow scrolling, sluggish window movement.

What I noticed is that when I close all Gecko applications (Firefox/Thunderbird/KomodoIDE) everything is snappy again!
After reopening those apps everything starts slowing down again (over hours).

My system:
   Linux Mint 11 (Ubuntu 11.04) 64bit
   Nvidia 8600M GT
   NVIDIA Driver Version: 290.10
