Message #26037
[Bug 764330] Re: [regression] Moving windows lags behind the mouse by 1-2 seconds; appear to freeze when dragging.
The fix is only designed to sample the mouse at 200Hz, so I think according to the Nyquist–Shannon sampling theorem[1] it will only look smooth on monitors up to 100Hz. I could raise the rate to 250Hz to try and cover the case of 120Hz monitors, but I think other timing issues in compiz might still make it look imperfect on displays above 100Hz. Maybe I should make it a config option, perhaps as a separate enhancement later...

The "slight delay" issue is a different bug to do with the hardware
cursor (Xorg option "HWcursor") and compiz lagging a frame or two
behind. Not sure if we have a bug ID for that problem yet.
If you have resizing issues, please log a new bug. Preferably with
video.
