Message #26252
[Bug 751073] Re: resizing in compiz doesn't show the terminal size
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: gnome-terminal
Resizing in metacity does show the size of the terminal in a small
window, and the values change while resizing, but not in compiz. There
you get no window like with metacity.
+
+ WORKAROUND:
+
+ The problem is that Ubuntu 11.x does not have the "resizeinfo" compiz
+ plugin enabled by default. You can turn it on with a simple:
+
+ gconftool -s /apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins -t
+ list --list-type=string
+ '[core,bailer,detection,composite,opengl,compiztoolbox,decor,vpswitch,place,imgpng,regex,unitymtgrabhandles,grid,session,gnomecompat,snap,mousepoll,resize,move,animation,expo,ezoom,workarounds,wall,staticswitcher,fade,scale,unityshell,resizeinfo]'
+
+ Or by enabling it in ccsm if you have that installed.
