Message #26876
[Bug 924978] Re: unity disappeared on upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04
I attempted to add the compiz crash file via apport-collect, but could
not, so I used apport-bug and created bug #924986 for the compiz portion
of this bug.
** Description changed:
- Today I tried to upgrade my son's machine from 11.10 to 12.04. Things went generally ok except the unity panel and launcher and window decorations all went away. I am reporting this from another machine and will attempt to add the compiz crash file after the install is complete. Unfortunately I will not be able to reproduce this as the machine will have been upgraded.

The attached information was from before the report, but during the upgrade. Unfortunately I will not be able to reproduce this as the machine will have been upgraded.
