@quequotion,  I agree it is sad and I'm a bit surprised at the lack of
uptake tbh.  Too many people mistakingly dismiss compiz as just eye
candy,  but for me that is just a bonus,  it has an incredible array of
useful desktop management/interface features that other window managers
simply do not match.  The amount of flexibility to me is unrivaled.
It's disheartening that it is becoming extinct.
