While it's very, very infrequent, I do still get this behavior sometimes
in Precise. I get it often in Oneiric.

- I stumbled upon this bug after upgrading my W510 (early 2011 model) from
- Maverick to Natty.
+ Affects Natty, Oneiric, and, much less commonly, Precise.
  
  The bug is hard to describe, when you attempt to resize ubuntu software
  center window by pressing and holding the left mouse button over the
  bottom-right resize trigger the resize overlay (transparent
  representation of the new window size) is sometimes largely inaccurate,
  as if the resize trigger happened 30-50 pixels away from the point of
  click.
  
  At times I managed to reproduce this bug in a configuration where
  software center window was very small in the top-left corner of the
  screen and the resize attempt immediately moved the overlay (not the
  pointer) all the way to the bottom right of the screen (but not 100%
  full screen, just a lot).
  
  A video is attached to illustrate the issue. Please pay attention in the
  second half of the video, you can hear my mouse clicks to know when I
  press and release the left mouse button.
