I had this crash right after I used Ubuntu Tweak.  Under Tweaks ->
(Desktop) Compiz Settings.

I've enabled the following under Workspace Edge settings:
 - bottom left -> Show Windows
 - top right -> Show Desktop
 - bottom right -> Show Workspaces.
