Great, thanks for the information. I can see this behavior as well. It
seems that there's always a chance of failure in launcher animations but
it appears that it has a higher failure rate when the program is clicked
via the Unity launcher.

FYI, you can probably get it to work more if you use the settings
manager>Animations>Effect settings and reduce the animation time step.
If you're on a laptop it might not be wise as it'll probably burn
through more cpu during animations.
