I get a very similar problem with the scale plugin. It appears that CCSM
does not put the correct string in
/apps/compiz-1/plugins/scale/screen0/options, "initiate_edge": instead
of "<BottomRight>" it only puts "BottomRight", missing out the <>
characters.

Using Stefan's workaround appears to fix this.
