I managed to clear the bug by clearing all my compiz settings and
rebooting:

1. cd ~
2. find . -name "*compiz*"
3. For every item listed:
   rm -R [file or folder name]
4. Reboot
5. Setup all my preferences again

After this the problem disappeared.
