This bug has been affecting me since Ubuntu 11.10. I currently have
12.04 (64bit) with the latest update.

System: Dell Studio 1558
Graphics card: ATI Mobility 5470M running ATI's proprietary driver (v12.1)
OpenGL version: 4.2.11627
Compiz version: 0.9.7.6
Unity version: 5.10.0
