Here are some images that better describe the problem... I also updated
compiz and unity today, but that didn't solve the problem


$ apt-cache policy compiz
compiz:
  Installed: 1:0.9.7.8-0ubuntu1

$ apt-cache policy unity
unity:
  Installed: 5.12-0ubuntu1
