It also fixes the behavior of the "Maximize Window Vertically"
operation.  With 3-D it maximizes, but repeating does not restore the
original size.  With 2-D the operation toggles, which is arguably a
better behavior.

By the way, by "logging in with the 2-D session" I mean logging out,
then before logging back in using the menu which appears when you click
the unity symbol to choose a 2-D session.
