I can confirm this bug, and I can confirm that the situation got worse
in Compiz 0.9.8, compared to 0.9.7.8.

Ctrl+Alt+Home runs the command emerald --replace here, so I can get my
decorations back quickly when it happens, which also means it is not the
fault of gtk-window-decorator, because it happens to emerald as well.

I will try to get a stack trace, but I do yet have to find out how to
trigger the crash as it seems to happen quite randomly.
