[Bug 1044436] [NEW] unity on llvmpipe is unusable when in 16bit mode

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

LTSP defaults to using 16bit graphic to reduce the required bandwidth
when running a desktop environment over the network.

Users are used to seeing slightly wrong colors and imperfect gradients,
but currently running unity over llvmpipe, we're getting a completely
unusable desktop.

I'm attaching a screenshot of a VM booting LTSP and opening a unity
session on an X server configured to use 16bit mode.
