Since I've installed 12.04, whenever I go to the "save as" dialog
window, it is ALWAYS sized too large, such that the save buttons are
actually off of the screen causing me to have to drag the screen to the
top to auto resize it so that I can actually click the save button.
Even though I resize it, the resize is never memorized and I have to do
this EVERY time I save something.

I am on a netbook, but it also happens on a completely separate computer
I have set up as an entertainment center with my large screen tv.  I
have searched everywhere for a fix for this annoyance, but have not been
able to find one.

I suspect it may have something to do with screen resolution and font
resizing, but not sure about that.
