I did it a little different:

in CCSM:
    composite --> detect refreshing OFF and set it manually to 60 
    openGL --> texture filter set fast

compiz --replace worked but not after a restart so,

change in start up applications:
and turn NVIDIA xserver settings OFF

works for now
