Hello, the best solution so far has been to match the shade of the windows.
Inactive Active shadow = shadow.

no longer turn black when minimizing windows in 98% of cases, being in
full screen some windows still looks black to minimize.

tested on nvidia 525M, ubuntu 12.13,
tested on nvidia GeForce 7300, ubuntu 12.13,
