You have been subscribed to a public bug:

The launcher and the global menubar at the top of the screen are not
redrawn nor accessible after choosing "Show Desktop" from the
application switcher if the window active before switching is in
fullscreen mode.

The bug can reliably be recreated by:

1. Opening 2 windows (does not matter what application, it seems) and enabling fullscreen mode in one of the windows by hitting f11.
2. Choose "Show Desktop" using the alt+tab switcher
3. Switch to the non-fullscreen window using alt+tab. The non-fullscreen window will become active and work fine, but the launcher and the menubar at the top are not present
